Event host starting points
- Show the progress. A tour of a retrofitted building, a city or company walking through its numbers (including what's hard), or a "here's what changed since last year" talk.
- Help people use what already exists. A sign-up night where people leave having actually applied for a rebate, a utility program, or a city grant. Bring laptops and someone who knows the form.
- Open the front door. A "climate careers 101," a newcomers' happy hour, or a guided "who's who" of local organizations.
- Celebrate the practitioners. Put the people doing the unglamorous work on stage, by name.
Hosts we'd especially love to hear from
Faith communities, unions, libraries, neighborhood associations, immigrant-led organizations, tribal nations and Native-led organizations, trade groups, small businesses, healthcare workers, teachers, makers, farmers, and artists. If that's you, you don't need a climate title to host a climate event. Share an idea and we'll help.
