Each team sets its own goals with support from the MCW team. Here’s what each one owns.

📅 Programming and Host Recruitment

What they’re responsible for: Takes events from “wouldn’t it be cool if…” to planned and on the calendar. You’ll find hosts, help them get their events listed on the Minneapolis Climate Week Calendar, connect hosts with venues (and venues with hosts), and match speakers with honoraria. You’ll also watch the full lineup to make sure it covers the whole metro, not just downtown.

Good fit if: you like making introductions, following up, and getting things across the finish line.

📣 Community Outreach and Marketing

What they’re responsible for: This team spreads the week’s hopeful message across the Twin Cities metro through social media, local press, and good old-fashioned grassroots outreach: flyers at the co-op, a word with the librarian, a table at the neighborhood meeting.

Good fit if: you like telling stories, talking to people, or getting a message in front of the right crowd.

🤝 Sponsorships and Partnerships

What they’re responsible for: This team finds the local businesses and organizations that help pay for the week. Then you’ll help connect sponsors with events and hosts across the metro so the partnership means more than a logo.

Good fit if: you’re comfortable asking, building relationships, and keeping track of details.

✍️ Journalism Team (tentative)

What they’re responsible for: Members go to 2–3 events a month around the Twin Cities metro and write about them. Stories get published in TC3’s newsletter. The point is to gather voices from across the region and bring up the stories people don’t usually hear.

Good fit if: you like writing, listening, and noticing things.

✳️ This team forms only if enough people apply.
